Oxford Residence Remodel

hawthorne, CA

a little background

Project Information

Oxford Residence is an interior and minor exterior remodel of an existing mid-century home in Hawthorne, CA, a small city in Los Angeles County. Built in 1959, the home has a singular wall that runs the entire length of the house, subdividing the public and private realms.

The wall is the main focus of the remodel and creates a congruent theme with 1 color running the length of the wall. The public side uses a warm and vibrant color to encourage social activity and engagement, and the private side (bedrooms, bathrooms) uses a soft warm gray color to encourage calm and quiet, to prepare one for rest and relaxation.
