Restaurant / Mixed Use
san francisco, CA
a little background
Project Information
This project is located in the Mission District in the city of San Francisco, a very trendy neighborhood which has experienced a large amount of change over the past 20 years. The property is an existing single-family, 2-story unit above a commercial space.
The project has been separated into three projects:
- a single-family remodel for the residence above
- a tenant improvement below
- a roof deck
The owner has a young family and wanted to open up the kitchen, dining and living rooms to the street frontage, taking advantage of natural light and existing light wells. The bedrooms in the back of the third floor will be modified to make room for an enlarged master bedroom and bathroom. An all-white kitchen with marble and wood countertops, hardwood floors throughout, and simple, light finishes in the bathrooms and bedrooms will lighten and brighten the home.
